If you are reading this, you are part of something that we hope will grow exponentially, something that we are starting one person at a time. We are OneStarCity, a band from Vancouver, British Columbia, and we are trying something that may seem a little crazy with our new album, Lion Fights in the Streets of Hollywood. We have had a lot of fun interacting with people on Myspace and Facebook, and we have been humbled, flattered, and amazed at the response we have been getting. People have been adding our banner, updating their status to rave about OneStarCity, and telling everyone they know about our band. This has been completely selfless, and so we would like to offer something in return.
We are going to give this album out to whoever requests it. All we ask in return is that you send it on to at least two (or more if you can) other people. We are going to be using http://www.yousendit.com to send a zip file of the album, and you can use that or any other method to spread it, whether you want to burn a copy, load it on a friend’s iPod, whatever.
We are not a signed band, and while we have complete control over what we do with our music, we want to give it to you. We would love to see you the next time we come through your city, and please buy T-shirts and other merch to help us get to the next city.
